Silkcroft Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Puppies

Wheatens are a numerically small breed, and there are a small number of excellent breeders here within the UK and abroad, working together to help maintain this healthy and happy breed.  Over recent years however, a number of ‘so called’ breeders have sprung up around the country, who do not care about our wonderful breed, do not carry out pedigree checks, health tests, worm or socialize their puppies.  These breeders do not offer continued support through the puppy’s entire life, offer grooming assistance and some aren’t even Kennel Club Registered (even though advertised as pedigree puppies).  A Pet Lovers pedigree is not a real pedigree and not worth the paper its printed on.  We have heard a number of very sad stories of owners whom have purchased puppies from these types of breeders and their stories are truly heartbreaking, some with very ill puppies and many have commented, if only we knew!  We wholly heartedly recommend that you are so very careful when buying a wheaten puppy, especially if they are advertised on the internet or in papers.  Do not rush into buying a wheaten puppy, a good breeder is worth waiting for.
